WELCOME
Mrs. Ramos
Hi TK students and families! Welcome to Transitional Kindergarten! TK is a very special place and I look forward to working with you and your child this year. I am so excited to be starting my seventh year of teaching at Tierra Linda! I grew up in Camarillo and went to Tierra Linda as a child. I attended San Diego State University, where I graduated in 2014 with a degree in Psychology and Counseling. I then moved back to Camarillo to earn a teaching credential and Transitional Kindergarten Certification at California State University, Channel Islands. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love traveling, camping, and going to the beach. In June 2019, I married my husband and went from being Miss Cosgrove to Mrs. Ramos. In May of 2021, my husband and I had our first child, Elias. We also have two cats named Jack and Mojo. I love teaching and am so excited for a great year together!
Mrs. Houston
Welcome to Transitional Kindergarten! I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. I look forward to working with you and your child this year. As an Early Childhood Educator since 2002, I graduated with a BA in Child Development from CSUN and received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUCI. I completed my student teaching in Pleasant Valley Unified and have taught in Ventura Unified and Rio School Districts.
I grew up in Camarillo and come from a large family as the youngest of 11 children. I happily live in Ventura with my husband, son-heading off to UCDavis in September, and daughter, a junior in high school. Family and the outdoors are a big part of my life. Outside of class, I enjoy cheering on my kids at their sporting events, gardening, hiking, and being at the beach.
In my classroom, I hope to foster a positive, engaging, and fun environment that instills a life-long love of learning and reading.
